Prayers for My Teenage Son

Thank You, Lord, for the gift of my son.  Let him come to know You in a deeply personal way more and more each day.  Help his relationship with You be the most important in his life.  Give him the desire to seek You with all of his heart and soul.  He is at the point in his life where he will make new relationships.  If any of these relationships aren’t good for him, I pray that You will provide him with the guidance he needs to find better ones.

Ensure that he isn’t enticed and corrupted by the materialism of this world.  Help him to understand what it means to love You with all of his heart, mind, and soul. Encourage him to follow Jesus’ teachings and to love others the way he loves You.

A Prayer for My Teenage Son

Dear Lord,
My son has reached another milestone in his life.  He continues to mature by meeting new people, creating new friendships, and taking on more responsibilities.  Please keep him close and watch over him during this time.

Block him from bad habits and additions.  Help him make the right decision as these choices will remain with him forever.  Protect my son from all that can cause him harm.  Defend him from the evil that exists out there in the world. I hope that he remains strong in You, Lord, and that he triumphs over any evil temptations.  Help him to continue to discover Your kingdom and righteousness.

Another Prayer for my Teenage Son

Lord, I bring my teenage son to You today.  I trust You to lead and guide him in the way You want him to go, and I thank You in advance for the good work that You’ve begun in him.

I reject and expose any false belief that tries to lie to or deceive my son.  He accepts and adheres to the truth of Your word, and he’s set free by Your grace. He trusts in You, Lord, with all his heart.  He doesn’t lean on his understanding because he turns to You for guidance.  He submits to and acknowledges You. You make his path straight.

He accepts Your path as the correct one.  Please make sure that he never strays from your light.  Steer him away from the evil temptations of this world and protect him forever.

Amen.
