Prayer for Fear

Lord, thank you for keeping me stoic when needed.  Thus far you have kept me going, and I pray that you help me to overcome this crippling fear that is overwhelming me.  Remove it from my life so I am able to continue my life unhindered.

As I walk through shadows I will not fear because you are beside me, Lord.  I should never have fear when I put my faith in you.  Give me the courage and confidence to face life’s challenges.  Do not allow me to fear for I trust in you for you.  You overcame the world for my sake.  With your blessing, I will have a strong and courageous heart.  Protect me with your love, and may your grace be my shelter from what I fear most.

I choose to give you control over my life for this battle belongs to you.  Deliver me from fear and continue to be my light, strength, and salvation.  Help me be righteous in the face of fear so I can be bold but cautious.  I will fear no man nor any evil.  I trust in you and leave all my fears with you.

Prayer for Fear

Lord, come to me at this moment of anxiety and fear.  Right now, I need your love to pour forth upon me so I may find comfort.  I need your strength and help in combating this overbearing fear.  Father, you have said that fear is tormenting and I feel that torment now.  You have also said that you did not give us this spirit of fear.  In that knowledge, I know it is coming from the enemy.  You have blessed us with love, and a sound mind.  Lord, please help me to learn how to use them now in my moment of fear.

Teach me how to conquer this fear. You have said that you would protect the smallest sparrow. Come to me now and help me learn how to defeat this fear that seems to be enveloping me. I ask you Lord, please deliver me from these fears. At this moment, I choose to hand these fears over to you. Take them and strengthen me.  Lord, I renounce this fear of (name the fear you are struggling with) Because you have not given me a spirit of fear.  I choose instead to live in the faith I have found in You. I choose to walk in the light you provide.  A light that no darkness or fear can conquer.  In this knowledge and cast out this spirit of fear and resolve to not allow its return. Prayer for Fear and Worry

Jehovah, I come before you this hour, humbling myself in your presence. I am here Lord, because I need your help. I make this prayer in faith of what your word says; that we should ask and we shall receive. I believe that by speaking to you, I can finally put to rest the fear and the worry that has engulfed my heart.

Forgive me, Lord, because I know that by allowing fear and worry to consume me, I am also allowing unbelief in my heart. It is an indication that I do not trust in your protection. However, this day, I choose to let go of this fear and the worry.

As long as I keep worrying about the things that surround me, I am unable to concentrate on all the other blessings that you have for me. I am tired of trying to take care of myself. I now want to surrender all my burdens; the ones that I keep worrying about over to you.

I desire to focus on serving you rather than on how to take care of myself. I want to be of use to you rather than tiring myself with issues that I cannot solve. Let your presence and loving kindness overwhelm me instead. I desire to have you as my shield and defender. I want to sleep soundly, knowing that the king of kings keeps watch over me.

I now surrender all my fears and all my worries into your able hands. Search my heart for even the most hidden of my concerns and sort them out for me because I know you can.
