Heavenly Father, you have joined my wife/husband and I together in holy matrimony. You have served as our mentor, friend, companion and confidant. In our journey together as a married couple, we continuously face many situations which challenge our relationship. Obstacles, misunderstandings, petty fights, and much more serious arguments have all been part of our marriage. We seek your guidance dear Lord so we do not forget our sworn vows to each other. I understand that every obstacle we face is part of something bigger. I believe that you have a plan for our marriage. Prayer for Getting Married
Dearest Lord, I will soon be married to my wife/husband. It’s going to be a day of celebration and rejoicing. We are two people who crossed paths and fell in love. This would not be possible without your never-ending support and guidance. In the early stages of our relationship, we weren’t sure if we were meant for each other. We used to be young and confused. Now that we’ve been a couple for a few years now, we’re finally ready to become one. I understand how sacred this sacrament is which is why I want to be fully prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally. My wife/husband is a good person, and I’m very blessed to spend the rest of my life with him/her. Getting to know my future wife/husband was an amazing journey. I have seen both their positive and negative traits. I know that married life will be so much different from where we are now. I look forward to being a wife/husband, because I know that it will open up opportunities for me to improve myself. Whatever challenges we may face in our marriage, I know you will continue to be there and serve as our guide. Marriage is a big step in our relationship but as we have carefully planned it, we can confidently say that we’re ready to commit.
